Happy Christmas to you all, especially my readers and followers on my blog and social media. I hope this festive season brings you peace and happiness.
This time last year, my children’s book Pet Talk was released. I vividly remember how my head was spinning as I worked to get everything ready in time for Christmas. Late October of 2023 found me still deep in the writing process, tying up loose ends, and tidying the main plotlines. On one memorable occasion, I even had to ruthlessly chop out an entire chapter! It just didn’t feel right or add much to the story, so out it went. Sometimes, you’ve got to be cruel to be kind – even to your own words.
After all the hard work, the book finally came together, and the rest, as they say, is history. Thanks to all of you who bought a copy, sales steadily climbed, and throughout the Christmas season, I managed to achieve my goals.
The journey didn’t stop there. I continued promoting the book on social media and even did an interview with the local newspaper. That interview led to something truly special: a local teacher reached out, inviting me to visit their school. Since then, I’ve been visiting schools to share my story with children, who’ve been wonderfully curious about how I went from being an engineer to becoming an author. Their enthusiasm has been one of the most rewarding parts of this journey.
Fast forward to Christmas 2024, and I’m thrilled to share that Pet Talk has received many glowing reviews and is now stocked in local bookshops. To celebrate the season, I’ve launched an ad campaign on Amazon and reduced the prices across all formats. I hope this encourages even more readers to discover the book and helps me gain a little more recognition in the wonderfully competitive world of children’s literature.
Once again, Happy Christmas to you and yours! Wishing you health, happiness, and prosperity in 2025.
